Standard Pacific
Homes (SPH)
The virtual tours are architectural
examples of homes designed by Standard Pacific Homes,
Sacramento. They were used at several stages of development:
1. Initial blue-line walkthrough.
Architects can avoid expensive mistakes and realize cutbacks
that can be made during the blue-line walkthrough. Real-time
exploration of a model gives an unparalleled perspective from
every angle in locating possible problems. This stage saves
precious time and a lot of money.
2. Decorating and furnishings.
SPH could try out colour schemes and furnishing from their
suppliers to assemble attractive but cost effective solutions.
Skillman Media actually modelled the furnishings to exact
specification and material.
3. Presentation and advertising.
Once the models were perfected, they were realistically lit for
the production of movie walkthrough's, high quality images for
print and real-time virtual tours burned on CD and uploaded to
the internet. The models are the most striking and
effective way of communicating to a prospective buyer even
before a house is built. |
