Clyford Farm
reconstruction (Case Study)
Clyford farm dates back to Saxon
times with evidence that this farmstead could have been an
Anglo-Saxon long house. Later additions to the farm such as the
large chimney (shown in the picture) were built to impress the
status of it's occupiers.
Planning permission
was given to extend the farm building although the owners wanted
to carefully maintain the style and character of the building.
A virtual walkthrough gives a clear idea of how to develop the
extension and is both a useful tool for the owners and builders
developing the site.
This particular
virtual tour models both the inside and outside of the farm and
its surrounding buildings. It typically takes 10 to 15
hours work at an approximate cost of £500 (US$1000). This
includes on-site photography with the provision of aerial
photographs.
